Just a few more photos of the remainder of our prolonged stay in Hervey Bay.  This lovely frilly necked lizard graced us with its presence a couple of times, right on the edge of the beach.  It seemed to be sun baking so we left him to it.  He wasn't remotely bothered by us.
The town park next door hosted the finish of a local bush bash so there was lots of revving of engines and hooting of varying types of horns for a while whilst Channel 9 news did their thing and then they all roared off down the road until next year.
Two brave souls had a swim one morning.  My neighbour quietly and knowledgably informed me that "the swimmers were from Tasmania" !!!
Mike and Laura came up for lunch one day.  A great advantage of picking HB for our main destination is our ability to see David's brother and wife.  Lovely afternoon.
