Our Darwin adventures began by collecting Julia and family from the airport and driving off straight to Mary River for the night.  Left, our first lunch at the Humpty Do Pub.  Julia just did not believe that such a place existed! At Kakadu we stayed at Cooinba and left is taken on the patio of the family's cabin.
Below is the first croc awaiting us as we boarded the dawn cruise on Yellow River.
The river is very beautiful and absolutely packed full of beautiful bird life and, of course, a good many crocodiles.
We followed this croc as he spotted a dead pelican floating on the surface.  He approached it with great caution and when he finally reared up and grabbed it we all nearly died of fright!
Maggie during our evening climb up UBIRR near Jabiru in Kakadu to watch the magnificent sunset over Arnhem Land.  This walk included viewing some very interesting art work by long ago Aborigines.
David zipped together various shots over the view.  Quite breaktaking.
We did the evening cruise as well and the magnificent views of the river kept us all busy with our cameras.
Our time at Kakadu was only three days but we managed to fit in quite a bit of swimming.  The resort has two pools and the children were in heaven.
These crocodiles were spotted on the evening cruise.  There were a lot more hanging around on the banks at this time of day.  Tree snakes were also spotted and a lot of the time was taken up by the beautiful sunset.  The moon rising so spectacularly was the finishing touch.
