We spent a day in Swansea where it rained relentlessly but we did manage a visit to the Oystermouth castle which was really rewarding in its history except I still don't know whether it was 11th or 13th century but in the general scheme of things it was just OLD
In the photo with Dennis and David in the background (previous page) you can get an idea of just how large the Swansea bay is.  Just as well as there was plenty of space for the large amounts of water that fell on us most of that day to drain away.  At one time we were sitting on the first floor of a cafe over a long lunch, when I happened to glance out of a side window and from the direction of the castle hill came an amazing torrent of water which flowed out into the main street, totally flooding up to the pavement and the drains were out of their slots bobbing about!  However, we were eventually able to retrieve the car and make our damp way back to the house.
