We used the Bus timetable to navigate our way to the Wesley Hospital in Auchenflower for my first consultation with the Skin Surgeon. The top shows the bus routes and right gives times.
Brisbane Town Hall
The walkway and bicycle path under the cross city bypass
Walked across to South-Bank to watch the Dragon boat racing
My brother Mike and Laura drove down to Brisbane from Gympie to console me after my bout with Vertigo and a day in Hospital which forced the postponement of my skin cancer procedure
An extra week in Brisbane gave us time to get about and on the Sunday we re-visited Redcliffe where a street market happened to be in progress. Redcliffe is where the Bee Gees grew up and started their illustrious careers. (Incidentally we do not know the gentleman centre photo!)
Left is a still-life witch dispensing magic potions to children

Right is a well-kept Queenslander house that we went past while on a bike ride

We had a very slow and confusing start to our winter trip this year due to thinking David's skin cancer removal would be something we could deal with quickly and move on quick smart to Harvey Bay.  Dreaming!!!
However, although a vertigo attack caused us to stay an extra week in Brisbane we used the time to take a wider look around the city and also caught up with a very old and valued friend, Mick, who was a family friend back in his teen years in Sydney. He is forging ahead in his roofing business and does award winning work with orphan children in Nepal.  A treasure!
