03 Sydney to Gympie and Hervey Bay
Sandy celebrated a very special birthday with a magnificent dinner for her nearest and dearest. Great fun.
Markus and friend Ollie and his brother played Putt Putt with Grannie and guess who won! The school holidays had begun!
We spent two days altogether at the Hornsby swimming centre and as you can see if wasn't just fun for the kids. The slide was a great attraction!
Now where did this shot come from? Looks like Mary Poppins from Maryborough! But it's not. It is a statue in the shopping street of Gympie
After much fun during the holidays, it was back to school for the children and back up to Queensland for the Bells post haste. A few more days with Mike and Laura during which time the men enjoyed some tree felling and then off to Hervey Bay, Mike and Laura having hosted our caravan for the holidays!!! which was much appreciated by us.
Hervey Bay is as magnificent as ever. Straight outside our van this yacht appeared for a few days. The chap on it would sleep over night and then spend the day who knew where before returning at night. He left after a few days, and told us he lived just around the point. He was back the following week but didn't stay long.
Above is another friends reunion. Helen and Graeme are staying further up the coast and came for a visit. We are to meet them later in our stay when the Chilvers show is on.
